Shaw Carpet Review

Shaw Caress CarpetShaw Carpet is part of Shaw Industries Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. and is one of the world's largest carpet manufacturers. They are headquartered in Dalton, Georgia and manufacture a wide range of both residential and commercial carpeting, in both broadloom (hand tufted and woven) and carpet tiles.

They sell their carpets under various brand names, such as Tuftex, Shaw, Philadelphia and many more. Carpets made by Shaw are found in about every business that sells flooring, including local specialty carpet stores as well as the big home center chains. Shaw manufactures everything from loops, patterns, saxonies, textured, solids and friezes constructed from nylon, polyester and polypropylene fibers. (See also our overview of Carpet Construction Types to learn more.) Like most large flooring manufacturers they offer everything from the lower quality grades to the luxurious high-end carpets.

Much of Shaw Carpets are made from Shaw's Anso nylon fiber with their exclusive, patented R2X Stain and Soil Resistance system. Make sure to look on the back of the Shaw carpet samples for the Anso and R2X labels. All Anso nylon warranties are pro-rated and transferable to the new homeowner should you have to move, and reasonable labor inclusive. Read the Shaw Carpet warranties for specific details.
