Home Depot TrafficMaster Allure Flooring Review

Home Depot's TrafficMaster Allure is an interlocking vinyl flooring that is aimed at the do-it-yourself market and is sold exclusively through Home Depot. TrafficMaster Allure is supplied to Home Depot through Halstead International, which supports their products through their mydiygenius.com website.

TrafficMaster Allure vinyl flooring comes in several different qualities, styles, textures, and price points. TrafficMaster Allure Tile & Plank features their GripStrip™ locking adhesive system to secure the planks together. While TrafficMaster Interlock Vinyl Flooring (TrafficMaster Allure Ultra) features the Uniclic Locking System, which is used by many laminate and resileint flooring manufacturers today.

All these floors are meant to be floated over a variety of sub-floors, including dry, clean concrete slabs, OSB, wood substrates and some hard surface existing floors. The floors are never glued or adhered to the substrate below and require no messy glues. The subfloor you are going over still needs to be flat and level in order for the planks or tiles to be secured correctly together. When installing over a concrete slab be sure there is no excessive moisture in the slab or it will wick up and cause future problems. Like all vinyl resileint flooring products these floors can be scratched and scuffed so regular care and maintenance is required.

Here are three videos from Home Depot and Halstead to help you to better understand Traffic Master Allure products.
